WHAT TO EXPECT
The appointment will include discussion on birth control options, other testing desired, and future appointments needed. A prescription may be given at time of appointment or testing may be needed prior to prescription being given, such as Pap smear and/or STD testing if indicated. If you have already had a Pap smear, results of the Pap smear will be sent for or if you have a copy of the results, you can turn that in at time of appointment. A Pap smear (cervical cancer test) is usually needed for prescription birth control.
